This is just two love birds ramblin' on.

As expected, Brucey angel baby was the greatest.

H&M hotdogs, heaven on earth <3

Seaside was just so lovely.

this was the best night ever.

“But in the end it wasn’t up to me. The bigs things never are. Birth, I mean, and death. And love. And what love bequeaths to us before we’re born.”

Jeffrey Eugenides, Middlesex

To be nobody-but-yourself — in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else — means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.

One last thing.

I never posted about what Katy-Whitten gave me for Christmas, so I’m going to do that right now.

She gave me:

Durham Crazy Horse - The coolest fuzz pedal in the universe. Really, the fact that she got me this is just awesome.

A shawl collar sweater from J Crew - She even got it in an XS!

A heated blanket - This has made it so very difficult for me to get out of bed in the mornings. Y’all have no idea.

A little mini Coca-Cola bottle pin - She found it while thrifting and thought of me! These are kinda our things!

A Sam Cooke and a Neil Young record - I’m a vinyl fanatic!

And finally, she’s making me a book about our relationship. She hasn’t finished it yet, but I’m under the impression that it’s the sweetest thing that anyone’s ever done for me. I can not wait to get it.

She’s a good girlypants. And I love her dearly.

:)

For the first time in months, I actually went out.

Yes, like a normal couple. I actually socialized with people.

And, the verdict. It wasn’t so bad.

I met some real nice folks, including Casey, don’t remember your last name, Katie Coffey, and Katie’s friend. Of course, these are Katy-Whitten’s friends as well. But I was able to carry on conversations and everything. Which was really, really neat. Katie even gave me a ride home. Sure, there were people there who I didn’t necessarily see eye to eye with, but, I’m afraid that happens everywhere. I think KW and I are going to have a vinyl party at Katie’s house sometime soon too! We’ll invite lots of folks. And everyone can bring a different record to listen to. We’ll listen to a few songs off of each. I have a feeling KW will bring Silver Jews, Katie Coffey will play Leon Russell. As for everyone else, the sky is the limit, as long as it’s not the Doobie Brothers, I’m only half joking.

I didn’t even make my famous eye move that seems to offend so many people.

There are some really nice people in this world, and I can’t wait to meet more of them. I’m in a band, so I might as well get used to socializing.

But anyway, yes, I had a nice time.

Thank you to Katie Coffey, for the ride, the smoke, and the conversation.

Thanks to everyone else for being nice.

I hope y’all’s night went well too.

Now it’s time for me to cuddle up in my heated blanket that Katy-Whitten bought me and hit the sack. We call him Mr. Heaty.

With love,

Toby Deano
